About Billings SCORE

We offer invaluable mentoring skills to entrepreneurs throughout Eastern Montana and Northern Wyoming. Additionally, we offer workshops both locally and nationally. Workshops are provided face-to-face and online webinars.

Chapter Chair and Key Leadership

Chair: Robert Hughes

Bob joined SCORE in 2015 after many years working in Hospital Administration and with Habitat for Humanity. Bob still volunteers time to Habitat for Humanity.

Vice Chair: Mike Keene

Mike joined SCORE in 2009, and is currently an engineer with Great West Engineering—a regional civil engineering firm with coverage in Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. He is also a member of Rotary International. Mike started and owned/managed a regional computer technology business for over 30 years before rejoining the engineering profession. 

Treasurer: Paul Hagen

Paul joined SCORE in 2009. Paul is a retiree of Roscoe Steel (now True North Steel) where he worked for over 30 years. Paul is also an active volunteer with Billings Rotary and St. Vincent Hospital.

  • Michelle Johnston, SCORE District Director, has named Western Montana SCORE volunteer, Charlotte Snyder, as Assistant District Director. Charlotte will also continue in her role as an Executive Board Member of Western Montana SCORE.

SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small businesses start, grow, and succeed nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), and has been mentoring small business owners for more than forty years.

SCORE is a valuable network of 13,000+ volunteers who offer small business entrepreneurs confidential business counseling services at no charge. SCORE volunteers have the knowledge and experience to help any small business owner get the help they need. Our dedicated volunteers represent over 3,000 years of experience across 62 industries.

SCORE also provides local workshops and events throughout the country to connect small business owners with the people and information they need to start, grow, and maintain their businesses, as well as online workshops available 24/7. SCORE provides resources, templates and tools to assist entrepreneurs in developing tools and plans they need to navigate their way to small business success.

Founded in 1964, SCORE is headquartered in Herndon, VA and has 364 chapters throughout the United States and its territories, with over 13,000 volunteers nationwide.
